About Us
Gottohaveit is the online arm of the retail chain Insideout. It was established in March 2004 by Paul and Nicky Edmunds.
The idea behind the first outlet in Tavistock, Devon was to offer a varied range of design led goods for the home, affordable yet stylish.
December 2005 saw the launch of a second store in Dartmouth and in September 2007 the flagship store opened in Exeter.
In May 2007 we were voted INDEPENDENT RETAILER OF THE YEAR - South West at the glamorous Progressive Gift Retailer Awards and we were a finalist for the AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year at the National Business Awards. Nicky was also a finalist in the Credit Suisse Entreprennuer of the Year.
In 2008 we won the award for Service Excellence from the Federation of Small Businesses and in February 2009 we won Emerging Retailer of the Year at the NEC Spring Fair 09 Awards. The judging panel contained a host of influential designers including Linda Barker and Sophie Conran.
2010 saw us nominated as a finalist for BEST ONLINE GIFT RETAILER at the Greats Awards.
Described as being a treasure trove of inspiration, Tim Danaher (editor of Retail Week) said that our shops were now ‘part of the fabric of the region, good at their PR and marketing and I love their customer service policy’
